Aksai Chin Railway Line
In the Aksai Chin region, the Chinese government intends to develop a new railway line. It will run until Pangong Lake. It will be running extremely near the Line of Actual Control. The railway line’s first phase will be finished by 2025. China will build a railway line between Xiagtse and Pakhutso during this phase. According to the plan, the line will be finished by 2035.
Aksai Chin Railway Line Project
China recently put up a long-term and medium-term railway plan for the Tibet region. This plan includes the Aksai Chin Railway Line. China is expected to boost Tibet’s rail connections to 4000 kilometres under the plan. It is currently 1400 kilometres. The new railway line will also run along the India-Nepal border. It will also travel through G219 NH.
About G219 NH
It is a Chinese National Highway that links the entirety of the nation’s southern and western boundaries. It measures 10,000 km. The highway’s development started in 2013 and is anticipated to be finished by 2030. It will be the longest NH in the world once it is finished. Prior to 2013, the roadway connected Xinjiang and Tibet.
