c) NCT of Delhi

Anang Tal is situated to the north of Jog Maya temple, northwest of Qutub Complex and dates back to 1,060 AD. Historical literature refers that Alauddin Khalji utilised the water of this tank to build Alai minar and extended the Qutub-ul-Islam Mosque. The Anang Tal lake in South district of Delhi, believed to have been built by Tomar King, Anangpal II, could be declared a national monument.

c) Ladakh

Scientists have discovered the fossil of a Madtsoiidae snake in the Himalayan Mountains in Ladakh. Madtsoiidae is an extinct group of medium-sized to gigantic snakes.
This research highlights the existence of the rare serpent species in the Indian subcontinent. They are thought to grow up to 30 feet in length. The study was undertaken by researchers from Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun, Panjab University, IIT Ropar and Comenius University, Slovakia.

During the 12th meeting of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) health ministers, virtually hosted by China, the BRICS countries have agreed to launch an early warning system for large scale pandemics.
i. Around 70 attendees including the health ministers from BRICS countries and the deputy director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) participated in the meeting.
Note- China is set to host the BRICS Summit in Xiamen, China in June 2022.

c) Uttar Pradesh

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi inaugurated the country’s first ‘Amrit Sarovar’ in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh.
With the help of local people and local school children, the dirty pond has been transformed with new retaining wall, boundary wall, food court, fountains and lighting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called for having at least 75 water bodies in every district in the 75th year of India’s Independence.
