a) Japan

Exercise Dharma Guardian-2023 is the 4th joint military exercise between India and Japan which is being conducted since 2018. The scope of this exercise covers platoon-level joint training on operations in jungle and semi-urban or urban terrain. Troops of the Garhwal Rifles Regiment of the Indian Army and an Infantry Regiment from the Middle Army of the Japan Ground Self Defence Force are participating in the exercise.

A joint military exercise Dharma Guardian between India and Japan to begin from 17 February 2023 at Camp Imazu in Japan.

c) Ganga Vilas

The MV Ganga Vilas is a river cruise ship manufactured in India. It was flagged off in January 2023 by the Prime Minister.
Ganga Vilas is also the longest Motor Vessel of its kind in the world. It is also significant as the first cruise ship to be manufactured in India. It is on course to creating a world record for sailing the longest along several river systems, entered Assam from Bangladesh, 39 days after leaving Varanasi.

d) Haryana

North India’s first nuclear power plant is being built in Gorakhpur city of Haryana. According to the Department of Atomic Energy, under the Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Project (GHAVP), there are two units of 700 MW capacity. A total of Rs 20,594 crores has been allocated for this nuclear power plant project, out of which Rs 4,906 crores have been spent so far. The Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh stated that the Modi government at the Center has given approval for the establishment of 10 such nuclear reactors.

Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal is the form of the second appeal in GST laws and the first common forum of dispute resolution between Centre and States. Hence, statement 2 is incorrect.

Recently, The GST Council in its 49th meeting accepted the Group of Ministers’ (GoM) recommendations on long pending constitution of GST appellate tribunal in the country with some modifications.

b) Mumbai

‘Technotex 2023: Envisioning Indian Technical Textiles at 2047’ is the flagship event of the Ministry of Textiles.
It will be organised in Mumbai in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Its main purpose is to promote textiles that are specifically designed for specific purposes.
