An MoU was signed by Union Environment Minister of India and Deputy Prime Minister of Namibia, in New Delhi.
It paves way for reintroduction of eight cheetahs in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. The MoU also covers cooperation on wildlife conservation and sustainable biodiversity utilisation. India will train Namibian candidates in wildlife management courses at the Wildlife Institute of India.

a) July 22nd

India celebrates National Flag Day on July 22nd to commemorate adoption of the Indian tricolour. The Constituent Assembly had adopted the Tricolor in its present form on July 22, 1947. The Indian national flag was hoisted for the first time in Independent India by first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru at Red Fort on August 16, 1947. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged people to join the Har Ghar Tiranga movement and hoist the tricolour at their homes between August 13 and August 15.

a) Reservation in local bodies

The Jayantkumar Banthia Commission, in its report, recommended that OBCs should be given up to 27 percent reservation in local bodies. As the court accepted this report, OBCs will get 27 percent political reservation in local self-government elections in the state.

Wormholes are consistent with the general theory of relativity, but whether wormholes actually exist remains to be seen. Many scientists postulate that wormholes are merely projections of a fourth spatial dimension, analogous to how a two-dimensional (2D) being could experience only part of a three-dimensional (3D) object. Theoretically, a wormhole might connect extremely long distances such as a billion light years, or short distances such as a few meters, or different points in time, or even different universes. Hence, statement 2 is correct.
