d) Gujarat

Garba is a form of dance which originates from the state of Gujarat in India. The name is derived from the Sanskrit term Garbha. Many traditional garbas are performed around a centrally lit lamp or a picture or statue of the Goddess Shakti. Traditionally, it is performed during the nine-day Hindu festival Navarātrī.

India has recently nominated the dance form Garba to be inscribed on UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list.
The inclusion of ‘Durga Puja’ on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage representative was made last year. India was elected by UNESCO to serve on the Intergovernmental Committee of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in July.

d) Uttarakhand

India’s first commercial space situational awareness observatory is to be established in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand by Digantara, a space sector start-up.
The observatory aims to track objects as small as 10 cm in size orbiting the earth. This will improve the effectiveness of tracking and identifying pre-existing resident space objects, and will be used to create a hybrid data pool.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Center at Mullanpur, in Punjab. The 300-bedded hospital and research center was built at a cost of Rs. 648 crores to provide cancer treatment facilities to the people of Northern India.
