a) Rampur

Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has completed India’s first ‘Amrit Sarovar’ in Rampur’s Gram Panchayat Patwai. Under the Amrit Sarovar initiative, 75 water bodies will be developed and rejuvenated in each district as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Seventy-five ponds in Rampur were selected to be developed as Amrit Sarovar, out of which the work on one pond was completed.

c) Supercomputers

Shivay, Siddhi, Pravega are super computers under PARAM series. PARAM also stands for Parallel machine.

d) Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard Ship (Auxiliary Barge) named Urja Pravaha has been inducted into the Indian Coast Guard at Gujarat’s Bharuch.
It will be under the operational command of Coast Guard District Headquarters-4 (Kerala and Mahe), in addition to auxiliary barge Urja Shrota, which was based here since 2017. The ship is 36 meters long and is designed to carry Cargo Ship Fuel, Aviation Fuel and Fresh Water.

c) Both 1 and 2

Blue Straggler Star are hot, blue, massive stars and seem to have a different trajectory of evolution from the norm. There are a few stars that, when they are expected to start expanding in size and cooling down, do just the opposite.
They grow brighter and hotter as indicated by their blue color. Thus, standing out from the cooler red stars in their vicinity in the color-magnitude diagram. Hence, statement 1 is correct.
Since they lag their peers in evolution, they are called stragglers, more specifically, blue stragglers, because of their hot, blue color.
Allan Sandage (an astronomer with Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, California) discovered blue stragglers in the globular cluster M3 in 1952-53. Hence, statement 2 is correct.

c) India

India has become the second country to launch Trade and Technology Council with the European Union. The European Union has set up only one such Trade and Technology Council before and that is with the United States. The EU-India Trade and Technology Council will allow both India and the European Union to tackle challenges related to trade, trusted technology and security and further deepen cooperation in these fields.
