b) Gujarat

Gujarat has topped NITI Aayog’s Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2021 for the second consecutive time, while Maharashtra has been ranked second and Karnataka has been ranked third. NITI Aayog released EPI 2021 in partnership with the Institute of Competitiveness on March 25, 2022.

b) New Delhi

The ten-day mega Red Fort Festival titled ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ commenced recently at Red Fort in New Delhi.
Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani inaugurated the festival. The Red Fort mega festival is being organised as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav by Ministry of Culture. The Red Fort festival is to commemorate the heritage of the country and culture of every part of India.

c) Odisha

The Manda buffaloes are resistant to parasitic infections, less prone to diseases and can live, produce and reproduce at low or nil input systems. These are found in the Eastern Ghats and plateau of Koraput region of Odisha. The small, sturdy buffaloes are used for ploughing in their native habitat of the Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts. There are around 1,00,000 buffaloes of this breed in the native tract mostly contributing to the family nutrition of households and assisting in all the agricultural operations in the undulated hilly terrain for generations. The average milk yield of these buffaloes is 2 to 2.5 litres in single milking with more than 8% fat. However, a few of those yield up to 4 litres.

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das inaugurated the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH) in Bengaluru. It has been set up to encourage and nurture financial innovation, with an initial capital contribution of Rs 100 crore.
Senapathy (Kris) Gopalakrishnan is the first Chairperson while it has eminent persons from industry and academia as members.

According to the Article 75 of the Indian Constitution, council of ministers shall be collectively responsible to the Lok Sabha and as per Article 164, the council of ministers shall be collectively responsible to the Legislative Assembly of the State.

According to rule 198 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of the Lok Sabha, a no-confidence motion is “a motion expressing want of confidence in the Council of Ministers.”

This motion can be moved when “the Member asking for leave shall, by 10.00 hours on that day give to the Secretary-General a written notice of the motion which such member proposes to move.” The Speaker then, once satisfied that the motion is in order, will ask the House if the motion can be adopted. Those Members that support the motion will have to rise in their seats, and with a minimum of 50 Members’ approval, the motion can be moved.

A no-confidence motion needs a majority vote to pass the House. If individuals or parties abstain from voting, those numbers will be removed from the overall strength of the House and then the majority will be taken into account.
