d) World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum (WEF) launched the India chapter of the Alliance of CEO Climate Action Leaders to supercharge India’s climate action and decarbonization efforts. It is part of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Action Platform, the alliance will continue efforts to achieve the vision outlined in the white paper released last year, ‘Mission 2070: A Green New Deal for a Net Zero India’, on India’s low-carbon transition by 2070.

d) Abhilasha Barak

Abhilasha Barak became Indian Army’s first woman combat pilot on May 25, 2022. She became the first woman officer to join Army Aviation Corps as a combat aviator after successful completion of the six-month-long Combat Army Aviation Course. This comes thirty years after India began inducting women as officers in the armed forces.

Union Government has launched the 8th Edition of Swachh Survekshan – SS-2023 under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0.
Swachh Survekshan- 2023 has been designed with the theme of ‘Waste to Wealth’ as its driving philosophy. The survey would also give priority to the principle of 3 Rs- Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. In SS-2023, the evaluation will be conducted in four phases, instead of three phases in earlier editions.

India’s biggest drone festival ‘Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022’ will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi at 10 am on May 27, 2022. The two-day event will see participation from around 1600 delegates including foreign diplomats, armed forces, government officials, PSUs, drone startups and other private companies.
