a) Bengaluru

President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the Integrated Cryogenic Engines Manufacturing Facility of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru. The engines are used by ISRO for its satellite launch operations. AT HAL, the President will also lay the foundation stone of the South zonal Institute of Virology.

c) It corresponds to the action against the circulation of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

The CBI launched the operation, code-named ‘Megha Chakra’, following inputs from Interpol headquarters, Crime against Children unit in Singapore.
· The CBI carried out searches in 21 States/Union Territory in relation the circulation and sharing of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

· CSAM refers to what was previously referred to as ‘child pornography’.

· It specifically refers to the possession, viewing, sharing, and creation of images or videos containing sexual or offensive material involving children.

· The CBI operation was targeted at cloud storage facilities used by peddlers to circulate audio-visual content of illicit sexual activities with minors, thus earning the code-name ‘Megha Chakra’.

d) Assam

Statues of three rhinos created using ashes collected from rhino horns burnt by the Assam Government were launched at Kaziranga National Park in Assam.
A year ago, on World Rhino Day, Assam Government burnt around 2500 rhino horns that were collected by the conservation authorities from poachers and illegal traders. The memorial, which consists of three rhino sculptures- an adult male, an adult female and a calf, is named as ‘Abode of the Unicorns’.

c) Ministry of Rural Development

The Ministry of Rural Development has developed the JALDOOT App to capture the water level of the selected wells in a village across the country. The app will enable the Gram Rojgar Sahayak to measure the water level of the selected wells twice a year (pre-monsoon and post-monsoon).

Sittanavasal is a small village in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu.
· It was a major centre of Jain influence for 1,000 years just before the Christian era.

Sittanavasal houses

· Arivar Kovil (temple of Arihats – Jains who conquered their senses),

· Ezhadipattam (a cavern with 17 polished rock beds),

· Navachunai tarn (small mountain lake) with a submerged shrine,

· Megalithic burial sites.

· Of the 20 cave temples in Pudukottai district, Sittanavasal is the only Jain temple with sculptures.

· Sittanavasal is the only place in Tamil Nadu that houses Pandya paintings.

· The artwork on the ceiling of the sanctum and the ardha mandapam of Arivar Kovil is an early example of post-Ajanta cave paintings of the 4th to 6th centuries.

· These artwork were done using the fresco-secco technique (a process that dispenses with preparation of the wall with wet plaster).

· The ceiling paintings show ‘bhavyas’ (exalted souls who work to achieve moksha) enjoying themselves in a pool, full of blooming lotuses.

· The pillars of the verandah (added by the Maharaja of Pudukottai at the instance of then Diwan Alexander Tottenham in the 1900s), were brought from Kudumiyanmalai.

· Sittanavasal remains an important place to study the history of the Jain religion as the inscriptions in Brahmi and ‘vattaezhuthu’, from the third century AD have been discovered here.

· Early Tamil inscriptions from the ninth century AD of the Jain monk Ilan-Gautaman, are found inside the complex.
