Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the Data-Driven Research to Eradicate TB named “Dare2eraD TB” by the Department of Biotechnology, on World TB Day.
“Dare2eraD TB” will be the umbrella TB program comprising initiatives like, Indian Tuberculosis Genomic Surveillance Consortium, Indian TB Knowledge Hub- Webinar Series and Host Directed therapies against TB and Evidence-based procedure for treating extra-pulmonary TB.

CODA won Best Film honour at Oscars 2022, beating other major contenders including The Power of Dog, Dune, West Side Story and King Richard. With this, Apple TV+ has created history by becoming the first streaming service to win the Academy Award for best picture. CODA is a heart-touching drama that revolves around a daughter of deaf parents who pursues her passion for music. CODA has a predominantly deaf cast and also won awards for best-supporting actor, which was won by Troy Kotsur and the best-adapted screenplay.

European External Action Service (‘EEAS’) announced a joint declaration by the EU, Australia, Comoros, India, Japan, Mauritius, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.
The ‘Declaration on Privacy and the protection of personal data’-Strengthening trust in the digital environment aims to improve international cooperation to promote high data protection and privacy standards.

Defence Space Command Agency: Australia
Recently, Australia has announced a new Defence Space Command Agency to counter the growing influence of Russia and China in space. Hence statement 1 is correct.
It will help Australia in developing and advocating space-specific priorities within the government, industry, allies and even international partners.
The agency will provide training to people to become space specialists, help conduct strategic space planning, and be able to be a part of any developments regarding the refinement of space policy. Hence, statement 2 is correct.
Australia will be setting scientific and space priorities with the agency in place and will be working towards creating an efficient space architecture.
All the operations of the agency – including design, construction, maintenance – will be within the purview of the standards and limitations of the Defence Ministry of Australia.
