d) Guwahati

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed recently for the creation of a ‘Riverine Based Religious Tourism Circuit.’
It will enable the establishment of a contemporary ferry service, following a ‘Hop On Hop Off’ model, that will connect seven significant religious sites located near Guwahati.

a) India

As part of the Act East Policy, the Indian government announced a 12-point development plan for the Pacific Island nations at the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) summit held at Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea.
The 12- point development agenda is part of the Act East Policy of India. This plan focuses on areas like renewable energy, healthcare and cybersecurity.

c) Uttarakhand

Patch Reporting App was launched recently by the Uttarakhand Chief Minister to make the roads free of potholes in the state.
It was developed by the state’s Public Works Department. This app allows any person to submit a detailed complaint by capturing pictures of potholes on the nearby roads.

b) Russia

China has approved the Russian port of Vladivostok as a transit hub for transporting goods from its Jilin Province to the eastern regions of the country. This decision aims to reduce transportation costs and support the revitalization of Northeast China’s industrial base.
By using Vladivostok as a cross-border transit port, China aims to facilitate the movement of domestic trade goods and implement its national strategic plan.

The Security Council established the United Nations Dag Hammarskjöld Medal as a posthumous award to members of peacekeeping operations.
· The medal is a tribute to the sacrifice of those who have lost their life as a result of service in peacekeeping operations of UN. Hence, statement 1 is correct.
