India Artificial Intelligence (‘India AI’) has signed an MoU with ‘META’ to promote advancements in emerging technologies in the country. It aims to establish collaboration between ‘India AI’ and META in the field of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. Also, Meta’s open-source AI model will be tailored for the Indian AI ecosystem.

c) New Delhi

The Union Minister for Jal Shakti commenced a two-day National Conference on Rural Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Partners’ Forum (RWPF).
The conference’s theme is ‘Accelerating Progress towards a Swachh Sujal Bharat’. It was organised in New Delhi.

d) It provides a cover of Rs. 7 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.

About Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana:

· It is the world’s largest health insurance/ assurance scheme fully financed by the government.

· The households included are based on the deprivation and occupational criteria of Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 (SECC 2011) for rural and urban areas respectively.

· It provides a cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India.

· It provides cashless access to health care services for the beneficiary at the point of service, that is, the hospital.

· There is no restriction on the family size, age or gender.

· Benefits of the scheme are portable across the country i.e.; a beneficiary can visit any empanelled public or private hospital in India to avail cashless treatment.

· The scheme being implemented by the National Health Authority.

Over a third of hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat are inactive, official data showed, in a worrying trend for the world’s largest health insurance scheme aiming for universal health coverage.

a) Ministry of Jal Shakti

The Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat released the Manual for Disaster Management Plan (DMP) during the two-day national conference of Rural WASH Partners Forum. The Manual is developed by Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation to ensure safety, uninterrupted supply and minimum loss of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) assets and services involving stakeholders at national, state, district, and village level.

Substantive equality is a fundamental aspect of human rights law that is concerned with equitable outcomes and equal opportunities for disadvantaged and marginalized people and groups in society.
