c) Chandigarh

b) European Space Agency

The European Space Agency’s (ESA) antennas will be in action to track the satellites of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) such as Aditya-L1 (Lagrangian point 1 ) solar observatory and Chandrayaan-3 lunar lander and rover.
Role of European Space Agency’s (ESA)
i. The ESA station supports Aditya-L1 and Chandrayaan-3 from the beginning of launch till the end of mission.
ii. The global deep space communication antennas of ESA will provide support to both missions (Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1).
iii. The big iron 35-meter deep space Estrack antennas of ESA in Australia, Argentina and Spain will support Aditya-L1.

b) Delhi

The Lok Sabha passed the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill seeks to unify the three municipal corporations of Delhi into a single and integrated entity, for better planning and optimal utilisation of resources.
Through the bill, the Centre proposed to appoint a ‘Special officer’ who will discharge the functions of the elected wing of councillors till the meeting of the new corporation is held. The bill is expected to give more autonomy to the unified corporation.

d) Mormugao port, Goa

The First edition of Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Maritime Exercise 2022 (IMEX-22) was held in the Arabian sea and Goa port from 26 March to 30 March 2022. The exercise aimed to provide interoperability in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations among member navies.
i. Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Maritime Exercise 2022 (IMEX-22):
IMEX-22 consists of two phases, Harbour Phase and Sea Phase
• Harbour phase – the harbour Phase was held at Mormugao port in Goa from 26 to 27 March 22.
• Sea Phase – the sea phase was held in the Arabian Sea from 28 to 30 March 22.
ii. Navies of Bangladesh, France, India and Iran participated in IMEX-22 with warships, Maritime Reconnaissance aircraft, Amphibious Assault Ship, Frigates, Fleet Support Ship, Destroyer and helicopters.
