b) South Korea

South Korea launched its maiden spacecraft to the moon and joined the race with other countries. South Korean moon mission- Danuri is worth USD 180 million and is the country’s first step in lunar exploration. Danuri features a boxy, solar-powered satellite that has been designed to slide above 62 miles above the lunar surface. The scientists will collect the geologic and other data from the low polar orbit for at least a year.

d) Rotation of Earth

The Chandler wobble or Chandler variation of latitude is a small deviation in the Earth’s axis of rotation relative to the solid earth, which was discovered by and named after American astronomer Seth Carlo Chandler in 1891. The Chandler wobble is an example of the kind of motion that can occur for a freely rotating object that is not a sphere; this is called a free nutation. Somewhat confusingly, the direction of the Earth’s rotation axis relative to the stars also varies with different periods, and these motions—caused by the tidal forces of the Moon and Sun—are also called nutations, except for the slowest, which are precessions of the equinoxes.

d) Bihar

The astronomical observatory at the LS College, Muzaffarpur has been included in UNESCO list of Important Endangered Heritage Observatories of the World.
It was developed in 1916 after a college professor felt the need of a astronomical observatory. After functioning for several decades, it was sealed in 1995, when some astronomical equipment were found missing.

d) Federal Bank

Federal Bank has become India’s first bank to list its Payment Gateway platform on the income tax department’s TIN 2.0 platform.
The Payment Gateway enables tax payers to make their payments using modes such as credit/ debit card, UPI, NEFT/RTGS and internet banking.
