First Marina in India will be in Karnataka
Marina is a tourist place intended specifically for small boats and yachts. The first Marina in India would be built in Byndoor, in the Karnataka state’s Udupi district, according to recent announcements by the chief minister of Karnataka. He made this announcement during his speech at the tourism department’s “Seven Wonders of Karnataka” event.
Importance of Marina
The project will contribute to an increase in coastal tourism. Marina offers both active and relaxing leisure. Someshwara beach is the name of the beach in Byndoor. The area is home to a number of tourist destinations, including the Koosalli Waterfalls, Kshitija Nesara Dharma, Sri Seneshwara Temple, and a butterfly camp, among others. Because there have been so few development activities, the area has had trouble collecting enough money. The opening of the Marina there is anticipated to increase tourist, employment, and tax revenue.
Why Marina?
India has the potential to make 250 billion USD from tourism, according to the Ministry of tourism. It is capable of generating 137 million employment. India’s tourist destinations have the potential to draw 25 million global visitors with the correct approach. The government has implemented a number of efforts to fully use India’s tourist potential. Models of the tourism attractions were made and displayed to international delegations during the G20 conference. The summit’s location was carefully selected from popular tourist destinations, particularly those with huge cultural heritage values. The leaders attending the summit were taken on a tour of cultural heritage sites.
